Meet Rachel Grace Lawson, the trailblazing leader of Bluffton High School and the first female recipient of the prestigious Bluffton Alumni Scholarship. An extremely bright and wonderful young woman who will be continuing her education at the prestigious Spellman University. Without a doubt she is a star in the making and she already shines bright, and she will continue to be a beacon of light for all those who follow suit.
My Story
Rachel Grace Lawson is not just a standout student at Bluffton High School; she's a trailblazer, a leader, and now, the first female recipient of the prestigious Bluffton Alumni Scholarship. With a class rank of 25 and an impressive GPA of 3.93, Rachel has consistently demonstrated academic excellence.
Her involvement in various school activities and community service projects showcases her commitment to making a difference. From serving as a leader in the Student Council to contributing to the Bobcat Telegraph and Yearbook, Rachel has shown her dedication to both her peers and her community. Her participation in clubs like Teens for Healthy Youth and her leadership role in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes highlight her passion for service and leadership.
Athletically, Rachel has excelled as a multisport athlete, participating in both cross country and track and field, earning recognition as the Most Improved Track and Field athlete and Multisport Athlete. Her dedication to sports reflects her drive for personal growth and achievement.
In addition to her academic and extracurricular achievements, Rachel has also been actively involved in church activities, volunteering for VBS and participating in missions trips to South Africa and Zambia, demonstrating her compassionate spirit and global perspective.
Reflecting on her time at Bluffton High School, Rachel acknowledges the impact the school has had on her personal growth and sense of community. Despite facing challenges, she credits her teachers, particularly Ms. Lee, for pushing her academically and instilling in her a sense of resilience and determination.
Looking ahead, Rachel's short-term goal is to further her education at a four-year institution, with aspirations of pursuing a career in screenwriting, English education, or creative writing. Her long-term goal is to use her education and creative talents to inspire and empower the next generation, recognizing the power of storytelling to shape perspectives and drive positive change.
Rachel's story is one of resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to service, making her a deserving recipient of the Bluffton Alumni Scholarship and a shining example for future generations.
